I had so much fun designing this coffee table style profile book for my sweet sister-in-law! Lucky for me they had lots of professional photos to work with and all of their content ready to go. We knew that they needed the book to be durable and economical since it will be mailed and passed around. We decided to order the 8″x11″ hard cover photo book off of Snapfish.com – which has quick turn around and pretty much always has a coupon. Plus it’s very easy to reorder the book in as few or as many quantities that you like.
What I like about the book:
- The inside front and back cover have a very thin felt covering that feels really nice and it keeps the pages from slipping around.
- Due to the orientation of the book it lays flat very nicely and is easy to hold in your lap.
- The convenience factor in ordering and delivery.
- The paper is semi glossy and has a good weight to it – you can’t see the images through the other side.
- The 8×11 pages is the perfect size because it allows me to give the reader little areas of information with plenty of white space so that it doesn’t seem overwhelming.

I couldn’t help but think about the future birth mothers that will read this book and all that they will be going through emotionally and physically. My mom was adopted and I have often thought about what it must have been like for my biological grandmother. I know it must be an incredibly difficult choice to face. I am super excited for Amber & Patrick in their adoption journey. They have already taken all the steps required to gain approval and now they are just waiting. I hope and pray that this little book finds its way into the heart of the perfect match. They will be wonderful parents!
